What determines processing
Branch hours have nothing to do with it. ACH settles when Federal Reserve Banks are open, so that is the only calendar that matters. Reserve Banks close on weekends and on the eleven federal holidays, with one exception: a holiday on a Saturday does not close them, and a holiday on a Sunday closes them the following Monday instead.
